Japanese ‘fast fashion’ retailer UNIQLO is continuing to expand, with its fourth Queensland store set to open at Westfield Chermside later this year.

The new store will cover 792 square metres, and will offer the full range of UNIQLO ‘LifeWear’ for men, women, kids and bubs.

More than 50 jobs for local residents are expected to be created by the new store.

The Chermside store will join UNIQLO’s other Queensland locations in the Queen Street Mall, Indooroopilly and Pacific Fair.

“Since opening our first store in Queensland in 2015, we’ve received a very positive response from local shoppers who have loved the wide range of everyday products and innovative fabrics that we sell,” says Kenji Tsuji, the Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Australia.

“It made sense to continue to expand our presence in the region, and we are thrilled to be able to make the UNIQLO brand more accessible for shoppers across Queensland.”

UNIQLO is expected to open at Westfield Chermside in Spring 2017.
