Global beauty giant Sephora’s first Brisbane store will headline the opening of Westfield Chermside’s new fashion precinct this Thursday 6 April.
This will be Sephora’s eighth Australian store, and its second in Queensland, after opening in Gold Coast’s Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in July 2016.
“Launching our first ever Brisbane store is a very exciting time for Sephora Australia,” says Sephora Australia country manager Libby Amelia.
“After such great success with our Pacific Fair store launch on the Gold Coast, it was clear that we needed to bring a Sephora store offering to the sunshine state capital, and with many of Brisbane’s beauty junkies already shopping with us online, the new Westfield Chermside development was the perfect answer.”
The store is part of a $355 million redevelopment of Westfield Chermside, which will become the largest Westfield centre in Queensland.
More than 54 fashion, home and lifestyle retailers will open their doors on Thursday 6 April, including international retailers Zara and H&M.
The new two-level fashion precinct will also include a new-look Country Road, Witchery and Peter Alexander, as well as retailers like Nike, Adidas, Sheike, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Hallenstein Brothers and Running Bare. Brands will be celebrating across the weekend with events, entertainment and four days of special offers.
“We are thrilled to open a world-class centre that offers our shoppers an unrivalled fashion experience, all housed in a beautifully new curated mall,” says Westfield Chermside centre manager Garth Haslam.
The proceedings will kick off at 9am on Thursday 6 April with the official Zara store opening. Shoppers who spend $50 in store will receive a special shopping bag while stocks last.
H&M will open at 10am, with live entertainment and gift bags for the first people in line.
At midday, Sephora will open with live entertainment, prizes for the first people in line, mini-makeovers and more.
Over the weekend, customers can enjoy a unique art exhibition by Dina Broadhurst; complimentary champagne from the Champagne Bar; Easter cookie and cupcake decorating workshops with Sarah Gan of Ugly Food & Co; complementary treats from New Farm Confectionery and more.
The second stage of the Westfield Chermside redevelopment will open in June.
