Gateway Baptist op shop

The volunteers at Gateway Baptist know what they’re doing. They put a 50 per cent off rack out the front to get you salivating before you’re even in the front door!

Once inside you’ll find quality garments ranging in price from $5-$10. The store is well laid out and has a super cute kitsch feel with scrabble letters used to label different areas of bric-a-brac.

EBCC Thrift Shop

If you love your labels put this cute community centre thriftshop on your to-do list. They stock plenty of ASOS, Witchery, Country Road, Sportscraft, Forever New, Sportsgirl and Tokito garments, some brand new still with tags attached!

No matter your budget you’re bound to snap up a steal with ladies dresses going for $5-15, shoes for $10, tees for $5, skirts for $6, jeans for $7, their $4 basics bin and $2 bargain bin.

Vinnies Stones Corner

You can get your thrift fix on the daily from Vinnies at Stones Corner, as it’s open seven days a week!

The store is loaded with high quality labels for those looking for something a little upmarket. Think Sheike, Top Shop, Mink Pink and SABO SKIRT.

Parklands Christian Centre op shop

This op shop is probably one of the most untapped resources in Brisbane. The store is located within the school and church grounds so if you don’t attend either, you wouldn’t know it’s there.

Prices start at 50 cents and top dollar items will set you back a maximum of $5! They even sell TVs for $5 as their prices are capped! They also occasionally offer a fill-a-bag for $5 deal.

Hours: Tuesday 8:30-3:30pm, Wednesday 8:30am-2:30pm, Thursday – Friday 9am – 2pm (not open during the school holidays)

RSPCA Moorooka

Give yourself at least half an hour to get through this thrift store… it’s packed to the literal rafters! They have a ‘3 for $10 everyday clothes’ deal, shoes for $6 and dresses for between $4-8.

I spotted a fair few labels on my travels including Country Road, Asos, Sheike and Witchery. The store has an extensive range of black and brown handbags including a brand new black fringe Sportsgirl bag for $8 which may have come home with me!

Treat your feet to a pair of $6 shoes at RSPCA Moorooka.

Yeronga Anglican op shop

This op shop is tucked into a little shopping precinct off Fairfield Road so you could almost miss it, but make sure you don’t… most garments go for around the $5 mark!

MS Op Shop Dutton Park

You don’t even need $20 in your pocket to shop at the MS Op Shop… they offer a fill a bag for $5 deal all year round! The little store is crammed full of goodness, from incredible silk vintage pieces to on trend skirts and designer labels.

On my last visit I scored an Ann Taylor sweater for 50 cents!

Citipointe op shop

When you walk up to the front doors and there’s a 50 cent clothing sale sign you know you’ve hit the jackpot! This warehouse style store is chockers with clothing, shoes, bags and furniture so give yourself at least half an hour to peruse it all.

Who could say no to $7 leather ankle boots? Run, don’t walk, to Citipointe Durack to snag yourself a pair.

Salvos Family store

You can’t go past a fill-a-bag deal and this op shop offers one all year round! You can bag up to 12 items for $6, and shoes and handbags go for just $2, so I can guarantee you won’t max out your plastic!

Tippers Treasures thrift shop

You really need to diarise a visit to this op-shop as it’s only open for 3 hours once a week! It’s well worth popping in, though.
