A lost teddy bear has been having the adventure of a lifetime in Stradbroke while waiting for his family to find him.

The folks at Stradbroke Ferries, a marine operator in Moreton Bay, are looking for the family of a lost teddy bear — and you might be able to help.

The bear was left behind late last month on the Minjerribah ferry.

Since then, he’s been going back and forth to Straddie in style.

Here he is, soaking up the sun with a coffee in hand…

And here he is in the wheelhouse of the Minjerribah, getting schooled on how to skipper a vehicle ferry.

Stradbroke Ferries say they’ve reached thousands of people in their quest to find Straddie Ted’s owner, but haven’t had any luck yet.

If we were cynical, we’d point out that this is all quite similar to the story of a plush toy that was lost at Tampa International Airport last year, and could just be a fun viral marketing campaign.

But it’s too close to Christmas to be cynical, and if Straddie Ted really does have an owner out there that’s missing their furry friend, we’d love to see them reunited.

UPDATE: Stradbroke Ferries has assured us that Straddie Ted is a legit lost bear. C’mon, everyone — someone out there must know this little guy’s family, right?
