The beautiful white sandy beaches of North Stradbroke Island are just a hop, skip and jump away from Brisbane, so why not take mum there this Mother’s Day?

North Straddie is the second largest sand island in the world, blessed with beautiful beaches, magnificent inland lakes, scenic walks and a great cafe scene – so a trip there, is the perfect way to spoil mum.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Stradbroke Island Holidays is offering a return vehicle ferry transfer with Stradbroke Ferries and lunch for two people at one of five cafes on North Straddie, from just $135.

The participating cafes will be offering up a variety of different lunch options and treats to suit everyone.

If mum’s up for some good old fish and chips, Fishes Cafe at the Point is offering fish and chips for two with a free glass of champagne for mum.

Seashells Cafe at Amity Point is offering up a range of delicious meal options, like fettuccine carbonara, pizza or a steak sandwich, as well as free desert and tea or coffee.

If you’re after something a little bit fancier, The Little Ship Club at Dunwich is offering a two course meal (main and dessert) with a glass of champagne or wine on arrival, while you enjoy live music and soak up magnificent views across the bay.

After lunch, why not take mum on a tour around the island? There are some amazing walks and trails you can explore, including North Gorge.

Located on the north western end of Point Lookout, North Gorge is the best vantage to watch whales, dolphins, turtles and manta rays pass by.

The walk encompasses the best of both worlds, with raw headland to one side and natural bushland to the other. It also has a unique rock formation call the ‘Blow Hole’ similar to that of a humpback whale. Perfect for an afternoon of sight-seeing!

Book your trip now and treat mum to a North Straddie getaway this Mother’s Day, she’ll absolutely love you for it!
