Would knowing that a cat hates 15th-century feudal Japan make you more likely to adopt it?

That’s what comedian Jeff Wysaski — aka Obvious Plant — is counting on.

The internet prankster’s shtick is to sneak funny signs that you’d normally see on the internet into the real world.

In this case, he left cards with interesting ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’ for each cat in the window at the Sante D’Or Animal Rescue in Los Angeles, in the hope that the cards will make the cats seem more interesting and stand out more to people looking to adopt a pet.

Sante D’Or Rescue has responded to the prank on Facebook.

“Thanks for the shout out,” they wrote. “Please stop by and see the cats in person. We’d love to chat. However, Obi is a huge fan of improv comedy…”
