Brisbane will soon be home to Live Large, a truly accessible festival celebrating people of all abilities.

Presented by CPL and Treasury Brisbane and held over the Easter weekend at the Cultural Forecourt of South Bank Parklands, Live Large Festival will offer a huge entertainment line-up, food trucks, markets and a range of activities for families and kids.

Offering superior venue accessibility and layout, a private care tent, guided tours for vision and hearing assistance, access to a full service toilet, extensive food and drink options, an assistance animals rest area and more, Live Large aims to redefine what ‘accessibility’ means at public events in Australia.

“Live Large aims to connect creative expression and individuality in ways that unite and open our minds — for both artists and attendees alike,” says spokesperson Maddi Obst.

The event will feature a range of talented and interesting performers, including The Three Handed Beat Bandits, DJ DefWill, William Barton, Rudely Interrupted, a cappella sensation Soulstice, Inside Outside Dance Ensemble and CPL’s own Screech Theatre.

Popular food trucks Ze Pickle, Carolina Kitchen and The Bun Mobile will be joined by many more, serving up food and drinks to refuel hungry festival-goers.

Between the live entertainment and delicious eats, attendees can wander through a selection of market stalls offering a range of bespoke wares from candles and jewellery to leather goods and homemade sweet treats.

Live Large Festival will be held at the Cultural Forecourt of South Bank Parklands on Saturday 15 April and Sunday 16 April. For more info, visit livelarge.org.au.
