One of Brisbane’s favourite traditions will be observed in King George Square this Friday.
Gather in King George Square at sunset with family and friends this Friday 25 November to celebrate the Lighting of the Christmas Tree!
A Brisbane tradition, the event marks the beginning of the festive season, with carollers and free entertainment from 5:30pm.
When the sun has set, special guests will join Lord Mayor Graham Quirk to officially flick the switch to light up the Brisbane City Christmas Tree at 6:30pm.
This free event is the perfect way to kick off Christmas in Brisbane with your family!
The Lighting of the Christmas Tree is part of Brisbane’s free Christmas program. To see the full program and plan your visit, head to Visit Brisbane‘s official Christmas homepage, and don’t forget to share your experience using #christmasinbrisbane.
