The Milton Markets are about to celebrate their first birthday with an epic party for the whole family — including pets.

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a whole year since the launch of the Milton Markets.

During that time, the event organisers have welcomed over 250,000 visitors, worked with 4,500 different stallholders, and eaten more gozleme than is strictly recommended.

Now it’s time to celebrate their first year, and they’re going to do it in style, with over 100 of Brisbane’s favourite market stalls converging on Cribb Street.

Throughout the day, there’ll be free birthday cakes, dragon dancers, a jumping castle, face painting, a petting zoo and train rides to keep kids (and big kids) entertained.

There’ll even be a special birthday cake just for doggos, donated by popular local stall Dog Cakes.

In the lead-up to the event, The Milton Markets will be releasing details about new stalls and birthday surprises on the event page.

The Milton Markets will celebrate their first birthday from 6am on Sunday 7 May on Cribb Street. Entry is free and secure parking is available for $2.
