The limited-edition Cadbury Crème Egg-inspired martini is only on the menu for the Easter weekend.
Latin street food eatery Comuna Cantina has concocted an espresso martini that’s choc-full of holiday decadence.
The Cadbury Crème Egg-inspired martini is part of the venue’s effort to refresh its cocktail line-up with an espresso martini push.
Comuna Cantina owner Tim Johnson says the arrival of autumn, and frequent requests from his patrons, has led to his venue adding a Create Your Own Espresso Martini experience to its drinks menu, with Nutella, Tim Tam, Cherry Ripe and Bounty varieties on offer.
“With the weather changing I thought it was time to add more indulgent, dessert-style cocktails to the menu,” Johnson says.
“It also taps the growing popularity of this cocktail and decadently blends it with a familiar chocolate favourite.
“We had previously mixed caramel and white chocolate espresso martinis by customer request, so the introduction of these choices to the menu is a natural evolution of that trend.”
Johnson says Comuna’s chocolate espresso martinis have already been a social media hit.
“People are just going crazy over it,” he says. “One person has said they are packing their bags and travelling interstate to have one.”
On top of the four existing options, Comuna has plans for Oreo and Mint Slice varieties in the pipeline.
Comuna Cantina in Albert Lane in the Brisbane CBD and Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast are now serving the Create Your Own range of Nutella, Tim Tam, Cherry Ripe and Bounty espresso martinis, but the special Cadbury Crème Egg-inspired martini will only be available this Easter weekend.
