Veteran Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou is about to attend her first Paniyiri Greek Festival in Brisbane.

The Greek Cypriot-born star will attend both days of the festival alongside her co-star Penny McNamee.

Nicodemou, of course, plays Leah Patterson-Baker in the long-running soap, and also won the 2005 series of Dancing With The Stars.

McNamee, who plays Dr Tori Morgan, is a relatively new face in Summer Bay, having arrived just over 12 months ago. Before that, she had guest roles on US series Elementary, Blue Bloods, Political Animals and The Pacific.

Both stars will take part in a range of activities, including Greek Dancing With The Stars and the popular cooking program, as well as honey puff and olive competitions, grape stomping, plate smashing, audience Q&As and more.

This year’s festival features the introduction of The Plateia (authentic Greek Village), and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Hellenic Dancers with their own showcase program.

More than 30 food stalls will fill Musgrave Park with the tastes, recipes and secrets of food from all corners of Greece, with more than 60,000 people expected to attend the festival on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May. For more info and tickets, visit paniyiri.com.
