Vietnamese restaurant Phuc Deli, an Indooroopilly institution, is opening a second venue in West End.
Phuc Deli Indooroopilly opened all the way back in 1999, when the Mantle Group’s owners, Jenny and Godfrey Mantle, saw a gap in the market for fresh and healthy Vietnamese cuisine in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
Now, after 17 years, they’re expanding the brand, and preparing to open Phuc Deli West End in the SW1 Complex.
Authentic Vietnamese dishes like traditional Banh Mi rolls and freshly made salads will be on the new venue’s menu, as well as head chef Johnny Tran’s signature dish, the Pho noodle soup, made from a fragrant beef stock simmered slowly for over 12 hours with a combination of marrow bone, oxtail, brisket and a boiler chicken, along with fragrant spices of cinnamon, star anise and cardamom pods.
“Perfect Vietnamese dishes are all about using non-compromising ingredients, then finding the right balance between yin and yang,” Tran says.
Whereas the Indooroopilly venue caters for shoppers looking for a quick but satisfying dinner, Phuc Deli West End will target inner CBD workers who might be looking to linger a little longer. To that end, the venue will offer a wider variety of dishes and have a fully stocked bar, serving up frozen cup saké, Shochu, Asian craft beers, and quality wine by the glass.
